I lost a friend,a close friend,today.Des Gillespie passed away peacefully this morning in Port Elizabeth,S.A. I will miss him dearly.My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Maureen and his children.Good-bye,old friend.Brad

I still remember his attempt to save his local colony of Disa cornuta from being destroyed by construction.

I thought you fellow Orchid Board members might like to know that the Eastern Province Orchid Society in P.E. had a few moments standing silence in memory of Des at their meeting last Thursday.
