I can't put my finger on what it is about orchids exactly that is so fascinating and exciting. I've always adored houseplants and growing things inside and out...and I guess it's in my DNA because my extended family grows. But I get so much enjoyment from tending and acquiring my chids!

My friends can't understand how I've spent $600 in the last 3 months on pots, humidity trays, medium, humidifiers, orchid books, and - of course - orchids.

I am fortunate enough to have a well-lit windowsill in my classroom and so my other houseplants as well as some of my less favorite orchids have ended up there.

If I only knew what I was going to do with all of them this summer...

Last night I ordered 4 more

Happy growing!

Beth

Welcome to Enablers-'R'-Us, where we will always delight in making your addiction worse and drool over pictures of your beautiful plants. Your self-restraint can't help you here.

LOL...JK. Welcome to OB.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there's no way to escape this addiction. It might be delayed by adversities (I.E. Disease outbreaks and money shortages), but it'll always be there. When conditions are right, the number of orchids in your collection will mushroom. I guarantee it.
