I once got 8 or 9 different species for $30. Some of them were quite large and most are uncommon. Between the size and rarity of the plants and how little I paid for them, it essentially amounted to a very generous gift. That was a nice day for my orchid collection!

Oh, and I've also gotten some nice stuff for $5-$10 from orchid society raffles and auctions.
