Default Redlands Trip

Well, I'm home from the trip and exhausted! It was a great weekend. On Saturday, our club members were the guests of R.F. Orchids in Homestead, Fl. What a beautiful place to be! Our host was very gracious and we all enjoyed the tour and hospitality immensely. Yesterday we were at the show from 9:00am - 3:00pm...what a day! I came home with FOURTEEN orchids!!!
It was a blast. The vendors had tents full of the most beautiful plants. A lot of the plants in bloom were samples and you could only buy a bare-root plant, which makes for easier travelling. I took lots of pictures, I'll post some as soon as I can.

Wife & I think it is one of the best events in orchids and we go to a lot of them. Have attended for three years straight now and came home with a carful two years ago.Last year I bought little but this year they had warm growing species of cymbidium for sale. Some for the first time I have seen them available. My passion - warm growing cymbidiums so again another car full and a smile on my face. We departed Jacksonville Fla at 2 a.m. Saturday and were back home by 1 a.m. Sunday. Tired but happy.

Sounds like you all had a really great time and definately found what you were (and were not!) looking for. Is it possible to go to and buy just one plant - I think not!

Hi. It was my first time to the show and it was mind-boggling, for sure! Our club made a full 2-day trip out of it (from Spring Hill, Fl on the West Coast, about 40 miles north of Tampa), and I am so tired today. Your whirlwind trip must have been even more exhausting!
We're already talking about "next year's trip"...LOL
