My other half and I are planning to move to FL within 5 years. He, however, told me that we must experience the hot and humid FL summer for a week first.

I said to him, "Let's go to Redland International Orchid Show next May." May is close to Summer, right?

It will take a little getting use to...the heat and humidity. You all come down and just take it slow
I had some friends in from MO. They whined and complained about how hot & humid it was in Florissant. It being between the two rivers. They got here and both pretty much fell out! I don't think they every complained about Missouri, again!

Smiley does have some neat stuff. I love walking through the rows of vandas. Sounds like you had a blast

I hadn't seen this originally, glad the thread was revived. Thanks for bringing us along. I love these virtual visits. I'll have to make a real one when it gets a bit cooler down here.
Cheers,
Tony

Tony, you definately should go see her greenhouse. Seeing is believing. When I saw the similar picture on her website prior to the visit, I was like, "C'mon. It can't be." As she opened the greenhouse door, I was , then later

She said she bring the blooming plants towards the walkway, but those Vandas are HUGE
