We had our annual OS orchid swap/sale and I really cleaned out the GH.
I traded some of my larger orchids in favor of reducing my collection to make room for...you guessed it...baby orchids!
Here is what I got from the OS swap in trade.
Den. cucullatum (was pierardii) seedling. (representative photo from google)
Phal. hieroglyphica 'FAF' in bloom. Gorgeous markings. (representative photo from Phals.net)
Phal. Salu Beauty x Brother Victory BS (previously bloomed). (no photo but should be yellow with peachy markings).
Gga. armeniaca NBS. (representative photo from google)
Tolu. variegata BS but hadn't bloomed for previous owner. (representative photo from IOSPE)
Here is what I bought for myself off ebay.
(these photos from listings)
LC Marcello Miranda x LC Gaskell-pulima ‘Azure Star’ HCC/AOS seedling.
Marcello Miranda is a hybrid using one of the few blue rupcolious Laelias with the renowned Cattleya labiata. LC Gaskell-pumila also features a large unifoliate Cattleya by a miniature hydrolaelia. We expect this cross to produce very distinctive heads of coerulea flowers on compact growing plants.
Mc. thompsoniana albopurpurea flask (I think the correct term is Mc. thompsoniana semi-alba or Mc. albopurpurea since they have been reclassified).
L. purpurata WCL X Mc. brysiana 5213SU flask
Mc. thompsoniana albopurpurea x L. tenebrosa 5200SU flask (I think the correct term is Mc. thompsoniana semi-alba or Mc. albopurpurea since they have been reclassified).
Doritis pulcherrima X Ascda. Pralor in spike. (I guess since there is no more Doritis that it is Phal x Ascda whatever the heck that is).
What do you think?
