An old thread, but we're all still spending. Just my ... never say "Never" ... there will always be the time that you spend more than you thought that you ever would for something that reached out and grabbed you. Or, if you don't, you'll be kicking yourself for years after. So go for it...

1k+, and it's still alive. You don't spend that much unless you really really want the plant, and you must know what you are doing.
I knew how to grow it properly already, because I have a few of the same type, just not as nice a shape and rare a color.
-I may be a 'noob' as far as this website is concerned, but that doesn't mean I'm an orchid 'noob'.
