Question Possible trip ( vacation ) to Florida

My other half and I are thinking about to visit his mother who lives in Spring Hill, FL in either October or November. This will be my very first trip to Florida. If so, I definately add an orchid show on "things to do" list along with visiting some orchid nurseries. It looks like that there will be a show on Oct 22-24 hosted by Tampa Orchid Club. I would like to get some feedback of the show from OB members who live around there and/or members of the OS.

My other option is to wait til November to visit Slipper Symposium.

Thank you.

If you'ra an orchid lover, don't take the drive down to the Redlands. You'll end up wanting to move here.

Actually coming down and going to Ruebens, RF, and others close by is like going to a theme park for orchids.

OMG! I live in Spring Hill...AND...I'm a member of the Tampa Orchid Club...AND my friends and I are planning on attending the symposium in November on Saturday so we get to go to our friend June's place (June's Orchid Estate) for the BBQ!!!

This is WAY COOL!

Do you happen to know which vendors might have the booths at the show?

So far it's:

Krull-Smith Orchids
Louis Del Favero Orchids
Plantio la Orquidea
Orquiven
Ritter’s Tropic 1
Featherstone Orchids
B &D Orchids
Byrd’s Orchids
Goodwin Orchids
Gross Orchids
June’s Orchid Estate
Hick’s Orchid Supplies

Smiley's is not a short trip from Spring Hill, takes about an hour and a half or so.

I have already checked the distance to Smiley's. I have to go see her since she has been so nice and invited me to come see her when I am in Florida.

Cool! As luck would have it, my birthday falls right in the middle of the October show (Oct. 23). If you went to the show on any of those days, I'd probably get to meet you, too.

We can have an OB get-together or something.
