What would you do?
So I got my package in the mail today. My orchids were bent just to fit in the SMALL priority mail box... Now I have two larger plants, that are bent, poor roots, and were completely dry! My flask is completely unsalvageable, as well as my small compot. I spent $20.00 on shipping, and on top of having to contact the seller to actually send my items, the plants were bent, thrown in a tiny box with just newspaper, and the plants were VERY poor. I would think someone would spend more than just $4.95 for a flat rate shipping box, and go up a couple of sizes. Hey you would still have another 10 dollars! But NOOO... I am asking for the shipping charges back, I am going to try to get the plants into shape, so no need to refund that.
Am I wrong for expecting this much? I lost a good 50 dollars from this purchase from the plants/flask alone.
So what would you do?

Sorry to hear that Mary. How did the flask get damaged? I think the bent plants will straighten out. I'm having a little trouble picturing it all, maybe I'm just too tired. Did you take pictures?

That sounds terrible. Who sold you these plants?
I'd get a complete refund. Damaged plants may mean dead plants.
Don't settle for this kind of treatment. Let it be known, that this will not be tolerated!
Receiving bad flasks is also unacceptable. It's possible to lose the entire batch of seedlings just from a bad flask.

I don't know where my camera is, but to give you an idea of what the flask looks like, my husband says that it looks like mush. As for the bent plants, I've had to resort to making a small brace for them with medical tape, not sticking to the plant though. As for the compot, they were all bunched together (which is fine) but most were pushed and had no leaves, or they are starting to brown... they're mostly yellow now, but hopefully with enough care they'll pull through. As for who sold me these plants, I don't feel comfortable mentioning them on this thread... P.M me if you would like to know. I'm hoping since I have them around plenty of happy chids, they'll pull through. I even have music playing for them, I figured Charlotte Church would be a good choice, soothing and beautiful... I don't think I can save the flask...
The seller is refunding me the shipping, but I still lost some money...

Mary, please tell us who the vendor is so we can avoid them. I can tell you I would not be so nice as you are being! I want what I pay for and that is that!

Did you ask for them to refund the money for the plants? If they have any respect for their business, they should give you that as well.

Mary I'm sorry. Could you please pm me with the name of the vendor. I'd like to avoid that vendor.
I wouldn't be so nice either.
