On the 10th, I'll be getting my first tattoo!

I've known that I wanted an orchid for years now. I got lucky that I found a perfect picture of my favourite, cattleya labiata.

Really, I'm asking for second opinions on the line art.
That way, if there is anything that needs to be changed, I can get it done!
Accuracy is very important. Especially around the lip/throat area.

I like the second one, (of the drawings, third picture) with darker outlines, and more shading. It would look really nice with a part of the leaf also. Very pretty.

I like the third picture too. Where are you going to put it? Are you going for black lines and shading or will it be colored?

You have to update the thread with pics once you've been inked!

Good luck.

I would be interested to know if you are going to have it coloured or not. Personal I like the black/shading version but then I'm a fan of that sort of tattoo and much prefer them to coloured ones, so I'm biased on that.

It will be in black and grey, between my shoulder blades on my back :3 that way I don't have to see the needle, LOL
The second picture was the original that I did. I'll take them all in with me when I go, with the photograph from the book, and the shaded picture for refrence on shadows and such.

I will definitly post pictures when it's done!
I'm sooo excited!

I love black ink. I only have one colored tattoo myself, but the rest are black... The colored one is a tribute to my husband.

I "googled" {orchid tatoo} and found two that might interest you...

Tattoos - Tattoo Pictures: Grayscale Orchid Tattoo

and....

I would suggest putting it on the shoulder blade instead of in between the blades.
