Is anybody going? I'm not sure how many Denverites are on here, but I'd love to actually meet someone from the board.
This will be my first Orchid Society meeting- I'm so excited! Especially since the speaker topic is Miniatures!
Any tips on what I should consider or do while at an OS meeting? I'm not a member yet, but non-members are allowed to attend two meetings a year.
"June 8
Speaker: Alan Koch of Gold Country Orchids
Formal meeting starts at 7:30 pm.
Location - Montview Presbyterian Church, 1980 Dahlia St., Denver, CO, 80220.
Alan Koch of Gold Country Orchids in Lincoln, California, will speak about Miniature Orchids for the Cattleya Grower. During Alan's 41 years of growing orchids, cattleya's have always been his love, however his second love has been miniatures. This talk covers the many miniatures that will grow in the home or under lights that can take a little harsh treatment the way cattleyas can and still grow and flower. It shows a complete variety of genera, but the talk ends with a few miniature cats."
