I've corrected the link in Hedge's post. It should work now.

I didn't properly know about that one until it was mentioned by one of the people there on Saturday and I'm tempted to go, not sure if I can persuade hubby on a second one so soon though... especially because of the dent this one made on his wallet

It is held within the 'East of England Show' which is a more general agricultural show and my sister had actually asked if we were going, because she is. She had said that there was an orchid section at the show, I just hadn't realized that the orchid section is actually a large show in it's own right.

I'm still working on the idea with hubby although I think he won't let me spend as much at that one as at the one just gone.

I know it's a very large show, maybe not as large as the RHS London show, but still very large with a lot of international vendors.

Here's an arguement for hubby. You're going to get more orchids anyways, whether you go to the show or not, but at least you get to save on shipping costs by buying your orchids there! And you don't have to use HIS money, you can use yours!
Sorry for being such an enabler...

I think I may be the lucky one here! Hubby said I could do what ever I wanted on my birthday weekend. I usually ask for a film marathon, trip to the zoo/wildlife zones or something similar. Did a double take when I read the Dates for the show!

I may just be able to go!

That would be a good birthday treat! That AND an orchid space at home - you are doing well. I think someone's husband has a bit of a soft spot for orchids himself.

Michelle - the pics were great. It was good to see the pics of the gardens... I'll have to go back at some point and check them out.

Now we want to see pics of the orchids you bought!

I didn't know about it either - it might just be a bit too soon for me to go after the last one! Maybe next year!
Maybe we should make it an annual OB get together!

Glad you enjoyed them Ted. Being able to share it (both there and here on the board) has made it even more special.

Michelle, great pictures. Especially like the ones of the gardens... really should have made it out to see that as well but my legs were too tired by the time I had finished seeing the orchdids.

He seems to go for the stranger looking ones, which is fine by me also seems to be liking the "Slipper" types.
I also promise I will get the picture up of the new babies, just hasn't been transferred over to the machine yet. That's where I have problems When we have time I'll sort it out (Will probably be asking a lot of questions too).

Glad folks liked the Pics, because I'm enjoying yours! We should have taken more pictures, but alas we were just enjoying the day far to much Didn't see it all though, so much ground to cover.

Currently looking at the old fireplace and plans are forming

My fireplace is a good place for orchids too. I have to move them all out the way when I light the fire in the winter, but I only do that 3 or 4 times a year so the rest of the time it's full of orchids.

I currently have 6 plants along the mantle, two on low tables each side of the fire place and two more right in front of the fire
