I was a bit pickier this year in choosing chids to bring home but I think I got a good haul.
Here is my list.
Den. lasianthera x Den. Minnie - gorgeous burgundy red Spatulata type.
Den. helix x Den. strebloceras - gorgeous tan and brown colors with really nice colored lip and the petals are really twisty and curled. Spatulata type.
Den. Frosty Dawn 'Wings of Gold' - Awesome orange lip. Formosae type.
Den. antennatum - species which has been on my list. This is a small NBS clone. Spatulata type.
Den. lamyaiae - species which is related to the unicum. Same color, bigger flower, smaller plant and a little more challenging to grow.
Pleurothallis (species) tag fell off and the grower is going to e-mail me the name. Yellow bloom. Bought it for hubby.
Lycaste aromatica - it's a cooler growing intermediate in a special Cool Pot. We'll see.
In spike now. Yellow flowers with a cinnamon fragrance.
Cattleya luteola - so cute little yellow blooms. I just had to have it.
And for helping New Visions while he was judging, we were given a really nice Phal cross NBS (made by Russ). I don't have the names on me, but I believe he said it should be a tangerine/pinkish bloom.
We had a great time. I learned a lot by clerking and being invited to sit at the AOS judging table was awesome!
