Very nice everyone!!!

Well, compared to you all, I wasn't THAT bad.

Swamper, sorry about the pics but the dendrobium looks gorgeous.

Well I just did a really stupid thing....Deleted all my pictures before making sure I had downloaded all the pictures properly. 274 pics during the last 10 days LOST ouch. I don't understand what happened. The file is downloaded yet it's empty. That's a first for me.
Wow, what a bummer...I would be very disappointed.

On the other hand, you got yourself some nice plants, and we finally got a chance to meet in person. Hopefully the trek to the swamp you mentioned can be worked out when I'm not working...something I'm looking forward to.

I had a great time at the Festival; my main reason for going was to present a lecture on Vanda Culture, which seemed to go over well...I didn't see any nodding heads in the audience, which is good considering it was only 10:30 in the morning..HA! It was great getting to meet Joe, aka Swamper, in person too...sitting up front taking photos of me making funny faces aas I talked...hehehe...I'm sorry that his pics from the last 10 days were lost.

For my plant take, I actually wasn't too bad at all this time around. In years past I have been know to haul 25 or more plants home with me.

I don't have any pics, but the 3, yes only 3, plants I got at the festival were:

2 Bro. Jamaican Jester from Hamlyn Orchids
1 Pps. (labukensis x Bodiardjo 'Goldenstar' from Ooi Leng Sun Orchids

I did manage to bring home a few other things from my jouney to the area, but I didn't get them at the festival. They included 2 flasks of seedlings from my first cattlya cross (Lc. Tropical Pointer x Rl. digbyana), probably over 100 seedlings in all...I'm hoping to have at least 25 survive to flowering size, although with my luck it will be closer to 50-75...these things grow like weeds sometimes...

The other items I got wre from RF's nursery for my lecture. They were:

Ascda. Crownfox Red Dragon x Ascda. Fuchs Joy (in spike)
V. Judy Mckennie x V. Charles Goodfellow
V. Manuvadee x V. Fuchs Fuchsia

And finally, I brought home a mango tree for my yard...when it gets big enough, in addition to giving me some great fruit, it will certainly be housing a few native chids!

So I thought I was soooo prepared, I had everything all laid out on Thursday night. All I needed to do on Friday morning was grab my purse and another small bag and go. Well I remembered to grab my purse but my other bag was forgotten on the kitchen counter. And it contained my camera and OB nametag and cards!

Aside from that setback, I had a FANTASTIC time!!

I arrived at about 9:45 and by 10:00 I was on my orchid high! Next year I will get a hotel room and go all 3 days!

My first round was over by 1:00 and I had to leave by 2:00 so I made a second (very rushed) trip around. I'm glad I did! There were a few purchases I had missed the first time!

So here is my Redland list:

Bllra. Peggy Ruth Carpenter 'Morning Joy'
Den. spectible
Den. atrovlolaceum 'Pygmy x H&R'
Den. unicum
Den. anosmum
Den. Samari
Den. discolor - flask
Ency. alata 'Early Bird'
Hameliwellsara June 'Indigo Sue'
Leptotes bicolor
Paph. Prince Edward of York
Rhyncostylis retusa (marked as var. gigantica but not sure if that's right)
Stanhopea assidensis
Stanhopea wardii

And since I couldn't get out of my orchid daze I hit my local Home Depot and Lowes to see if they received any new shipments.

Of course they did! So I got:

Alcra. Pacific Nova 'Pacific Height'
Bllra. Eurostar
Zygo. Arthur Elle x Skippy Ku

Not to mention the haul I brought home last weekend from Orchidamore's open house (Thanks Jerry!)

Brsdm. Fangastic
Blc. Chia Lin
C. Warpaint
Den. spectable var. aureum
Ency. Nursery Rhyme
Max. tenuifolia
Onc. Twinkle -red
Psh. cochleata

My wish list is much shorter now but thanks to Andy's, Cal-orchids, Carter & Holmes, Encuagenera and Oak Hill I still have quite a few I will be ordering once I recover financially from the past 2 weekends.
