I did not use dry ground coffee. I made some coffee and diluted it with water and watered the affected plants with it and used some on a sprayer. I wonder if it may kill or keep insects away as well.

If not- check with any friends or neighbors you have that might drink coffee who could save their grounds for you.
In any case, it wouldn't be the end of the world if you had to buy super cheap coffee at the grocery store and just brew it.
Would be interesting to see if there are any uses for the brewed coffee, not just the grounds. |

m growing some coffee plants I got at Kmart for 2.99 and I love them. beautiful foliage, at the Bptanic Garden they have a large one that blooms and fruits. nice scent. great easy plants. Like a Gardenia but way better looking when not in bloom

lol Indeed! When my wife drinks it (which is in phases!), we buy the local stuff and I do try to send it to relatives on the mainland whenever possible. I support the local fruit, veggie and fish growers though!! |

There is a tiny bit of stem left, but I think its not enough for the blooms to live. Its probably dead. |

I would not cut it until is dead for sure.
I am wondering: if you leave there only a bud, it would help?...

No, I think the stem itself will shrivel up and die, even before the buds do. |
