Default Northern Minnesota

*Sigh*
Last summer we sold my grandparent's home in the "iron range" area in Minnesota. In preparation for the sale, we were going through grandma's garden and backyard...which backs into a lush forrest.
To my delight (and dismay) there were slipper orchids EVERYWHERE! *sigh*
It's illegal to do anything to them, but they were over a hundred in bloom...lovely and yellow amongst the green. I still wonder to this day what type of orchid they were for sure.
I wish I had my digital camera...I'll never forget how perfect it was. Orchids in the wild=amazing!

So, your grandparents didn't plant them there? I wonder if they are still there.

Do you know what happened to the land? Hopefully nothing.
