Today our Tampa Orchid Club meeting was a field trip including lunch on the veranda at June's Orchid Estate.
Laura, Linda and I all had a wonderful time...it was Linda's first trip there so it was lots of fun to see the excitement on her face
I love going there and just roaming around the place but it's even more special spending the time there with good friends
I got a number of new orchid items like coasters and bookmarks...and a really cool pot that I fell in love with. Of course, that's just about when the insanity kicked in and I went in search of the perfect Paph to put in the new pot...makes perfect sense, doesn't it?
Wow, that is heaven, isn't it????? When you said you were searching for the perfect paph, I had visions of you crawling all along the top of that tree. Then I remembered (silly me) that paphs are never up in the trees!!!! Phew!!!! What's the name of the paph you bought? It's that single one you took a pic of right? It's so cute!

I think the schedule got pushed back a bit due to some circumstances way back at the beginning of the project...that being said, June and her staff have accomplished something so very special already, I look forward to seeing them succeed.
If you ever have the chance to meet June, Laurie, Glen and the other fine folks making this place work you'll walk away smiling...they really are some of the nicest folks around and I am proud to call them my friends
The plants are fantastic and I always come home with more than one...but I'm having a really hard time leaving there without a box full of pretty stuff for my house from the lounge at June's
So Susie Q, where is this place? I know you have said something about it in the recent past but you know how compromised I am!!!!!!
It's in Thonotasassa which is basically Tampa
On one of your trips here, we MUST make plans for some OBers to meet there...it would be lovely to stroll around and have lunch on the veranda in back.
It's gorgeous and we'd all have a wonderful day, for sure
