Sad news for the orchid world...Jim Clarkson :(
It is with a heavy heart that I make this announcement about the untimely and unexpected passing of our friend and AOS Judge Jim Clarkson 
Sadly, Jim passed away this morning after a brief illness.
A huge loss to his family, friends and the orchid world.
Most people in Florida orchid societies know Jim as he was a judge at many many shows over the years and also made a name for himself with the plants he grew personally.
It was truly an honor to know him and he will be missed by all. I will post memorial arrangement information as I get it.

Yes, It was an honor to know him. He was such a wonderful person!!! I still cannot belileve that we will not see him anymore! |

The Memorial Service for Jim Clarkson will be this coming Sunday, March 14th, at 2:00 PM at the USF Botanical Gardens. As the Curator of the Orchid Collection at the Gardens, Jim devoted countless hours of his time there sharing his knowledge of orchid culture. The address for the Gardens is:

The amount of time he spent at USF Gardens and teaching folks is amazing...we have lost a true asset to the community along with losing a friend |
