We stayed on Captiva Island a few years ago...you have to go through Sanibel to get there.

If you've never been there before, be prepared for an exquisite sight when you get to the causeway to Sanibel. It is absolutely gorgeous!!!

Make sure you have footwear to walk on the beaches...they're known for their shelling so it's a little uncomfortable on the feet.
