I just ordered more plants (in spike) so I'd hve more blooms . Most of my flowers are done for now (only 6 in bloom)
Hope they arrive OK in this cold but I'll take the chance if I can have more flowers

Melissa! Would you be so kind as to put a pick of your den. princess/unicum up on the board? Den. Unicum is ma favorite Den and I would love to see a pick of it in bloom!

This isn't the best photo but here is a picture of the bloom from last season.

Oh Melissa - those orchids look very happy! Do you ever put the clear pots inside another larger container? Mine are all in our living room, but I wonder if I didn't put them inside something else if they would breathe and so perform a little better - I thought there was lots of room 1/2 inch or so between pot walls for plenty of air circulation, but maybe not...

When they go to a show, they will be placed inside a more decorative outer pot.
At home though I just leave them in the recycled 2L coke bottles.
After these bloom, I will be repotting to something bigger. I am looking for something with a wider base but the same overall height as they seem to like the tall pots.
In my very limited s/h experience, I have found that the Dens stay put better in the taller cylindrical style pots.
The wide rectangular or square plastic ones that I get at the Dollar Store work better for Phals and Catts.
The 2 Dens that were budding in this thread are both at the Gulf Show in Gautier, MS today.

Melissa I am so jealous of your dendrobiums!! I have about ten myself but they were nowhere as large as yours and they are not as happy I love dendrobiums and feel like they don't get the love they deserve from most people - they are so beautiful!! I didn't know that you had a greenhouse, that is awesome!
