Old thread, but I'm going to post anyways. A few days ago, I was watering the orchids outside (I used a hose because I was in a hurry.) I noticed water on my Blc. Keowee 'Mendenhall' bud, it was just a day or two from opening. I started tapping it to remove the water so that I wouldn't soil the bloom and I snapped it right off. One of my absolute favorites, now I have to wait for another 6 months for a flower.
