Dangit Dangit...I killed them. Male
Default

well I woke op yesterday looked outside the window where i keep some plants on the fire escape...
and i saw a bunch of iced water in a saucer.

my wandering jew pot was frozen took it inside and the plant was all mushy - gone. like frozen and thawed in the sun.
I was lucky that i took my Den nobile pot inside the night before.

that night the wind rose and the reg temp dropped to the 20s.

luckily i have some rooted cuttings of the wandering jew in water.
I still have rosemary and lavender [how to tell french from english that is hardier?].

Anyway now it is 90 F inside the apt when the heat is blasting.
wonder what will happen.

Anyway the Phaiocalantes are a bit like bulb plants - so I think maybe the rhizome under the soil was soemhow more protected from dry windchill than the thin leaves. probably they will grow new growth.
would check how they are let them dry a bit keep em cool
