Default What to plant in this strange "Pot"

I found this porcelain vase (dry or silk arrangement?) yesterday and the moment I saw it I knew it would be coming home with me.
I would like to put a medium sized Cymbidium in it.
What are your thoughts? Would this work for a Cym?
It is 12" tall, 6" dia. at the top and 4" dia. at the bottom.
If not a Cym., what would you suggest?
Keep in mind, I'm from the North Land so Vanda's are out.......DARN!!
Thanks in advance.

Hey Al, I LOVE that pot!!
I don't think you'd be happy with a cym in it-I don't think it's quite wide enough and the potting medium is going to dry pretty fast......but it would really be cool with a bunch of minis growing out of of the holes. (kind of like a strawberry pot) OR you could just send it to me.

If you don't mind watering it quite frequently (it's really going to dry fast as Joan pointed out) how about one of the Chinese Cymbidiums, perhaps ensifolium or sinense?

Thanks for the suggestions, keep them coming!
I had though of the "strawberry" pot, Joann,
Also thought of the chinese cym., Jerry.
veekay, I'm not very good with Catt's but might try one in this. Maybe I wouldn't drown it like I usually do with Catt's.

I really like the strawberry pot idea but do you realize how many plants it would take?

I'm just a poor old man! I will consider plant donations though!!

I agree with Jerry about the Chinese Cymbidiums. I have a few of them so you can send me the pot if you can't make up your mind
