Default Ban Photos from OB!

I would like to suggest that we ban photos from OB from now on. I just can't get another orchid. I'm over my head here! Especially those of you who are natural born photographers (professional or not, you guys are good!). I'm begging you all to stop posting your gorgeous photos!
Especially Mauro! Big teases! The whole darn bunch of you!!!!
I'm kidding, but I'm really not!

Poor kiki!! But I thought that you had been a good girl all winter and didn't get any new orchids. You deserve to buy lots now that the weather is good for shipping! But I know what you mean, seeing all those pics makes you want to buy one of everything! I have several orchids that I wouldn't have gotten if I hadn't seen pics here.

I'm with Kiki, BAN PICTURES!!! I went from 5 or 6 orchids to over 150 orchids since I joined here. I dont have time to post because I'm to busy looking for ones I've seen here and taking care of the one's I had to buy. I'm a friggin orchid junkie and I always need a fix.

Good post, but I beg to differ. I love to see Susanne's paradise and those of many others with exuberant orchids, and pretend that I may some day end up in Florida, or some other place like it, and have a real orchid managerie like they do.

Besides, I am on my third orchid collection since I retired. Over the years I had to liquidate due to moves and having to accommodate needs of family. All the pictures I took of my previous collections are precious to me, regardless of quality, and love to see pictures of similar orchids posted by OB members. Brings back great memories.

TAKE MANY PHOTOS and keep posting them, is my advice.

LOL!!! I know what you mean! I want so many orchids that my husband would have a stroke if I got them all. I'm going to have to slowly incorporate more. Think he will notice 66 more orchids in the 14 that I have now?

I am an expert on incorporating orchids into the house. However, going from 14 to 66 will take more expertise than I can muster. I move mine every two weeks or so, with excuses that the lighting isn't right, or I think it looks better over here. Whenever I plan to go shopping, I do the orchid shuffle. It messes my hubby up and he has no clue how many I have/had/or will have. He'll say, "where did that white one go, and where did this pink one come from?" And I will tell him I had to swap them because of new research I did, and they weren't getting the right light. Works every time. When he sees a strange new one, I say that it's been upstairs in the dormer windows cause I thought I saw something on it, so quarantined it for a bit. That part is almost true cause I quarantine all my newbies until I am satisfied they are okay and able to play nice with the others.
One day he looked around, and said "wow, where did all these come from? You have a gazillion here!" I just smile. He's somehow under the impression that I split alot of orchids. Hmmmm I might have mentioned that once or twice.
I can't help it! I'm an orchidaholic!

That is hilarious!! Unfortunately, I don't have the space to move orchids around. There aren't many suitable places for them. The list is now up to 70. I'm going to have to do some fast talking and make some quick plans!! I have something in the works, but need to be more prepared before I spring my plans on the hubby.

You guys crack me up. However, to be honest with you, this site with some pictures, especially Vandas and Neos, which I now addicted to is really not helping me.

My Vanda house is FULL. But I am going to an orchid shopping on Sunday.
