Snow......not after this buying binge! Actually, not rich at all, at least not monetarily. I've been saving for a while for this trip!

Hi Suzie...I've spent the last two days getting things repotted, mounted and hung in baskets...some of the species have particular needs that I'm hoping to achive in different areas of the shadehouse. I still have a few to repot, but they'll have to wait till Thursday...my next day off work. As for pre-occupation...my chids keep me that way much of the time. I luv my chids!

Ah Ross...haven't you read the quote below my signature...There's always room for one more orchid...or two...or twenty-nine!

I already have too many chids in my collection, so it's nice to live vicariously through others as an occasional substitute for a shopping binge. Thanks for sharing.

Hi David

Thanks for sharing the bounty. I really enjoyed looking at you photos. The Aerides flower looks lovely. This Spring I got 16 at the Longwood show after not buying anything for a year. It is delightful to see that some of them already bloomed or look like they love their new home. For me it sure beats worrying whether a single orchid I buy will make it.

Good purchase! You must be smiling all the way back home after all the shopping spree!

Yes Dave I did notice. I think this healthy and vigorous orchid I can take with me anywhere I will end up. Just like this bromeliad that traveled with me for almost 50 years including my basement apartment in college. The photo does not do justice to the great burgundy coloring in good light.
