Ok here are a few pics of my exhibit. From L-R and front to back. Phal. Brother Sara Gold, Leonara (aka Iwanagara) Appleblossom 'Pippin', Den. Pixie Princess, Phal. NOID white, Dtps. Malibu Merlot (this is the one that got nominated), and Masd. Angel Tang. The yellow ribbons are special society awards. One was for Best Amateur Exhibit, the other was for the AOS nomination. They also came with "trophies" which are little candles with a Phal in it.

That's great Terri. It also shows the rest of us what GOOD CULTURE actually does for the plants. Have fun on cloud nine.

While our Ms. Terri was collecting trophies and ribbons, DH and I were collecting orchids at the very same show. I have pined for certain 'chids in the past. Little did I know all I had to do was bring my sweetheart to the show with me and he would buy them, for himself, but still. Working in a booth keeps one out of trouble. While waiting for your shift, you wander around and shop! Yikes! DH brought home 17 new chids. I brought home 8. We are taking a lot of razzing about when are we getting a greenhouse?! DH did take some pictures of the show, and last night was taking some shots of the new orchids. So I will post those soon. I think I need to join a gym. I am really sore from putting up and taking down tables. Fun though. Like a big orchid party all weekend. While doing the plant hotel, I met a guy that used to live in Maine and says he knew Al from Birdsong Farms. Coffee pot is calling me. Carol

And a fine job collecting orchids of all shapes, sizes and genus you two did! I think the only person who bought more plants than you two was the guy who won the lottery! He left with 6 BIG boxes stuffed with plants. I think the vendors did pretty well! I'm sore too Carol. I could barely crawl out of bed Monday.

I was sort of good, I only bought 5 new ones. We need someone to bring a laptop next year with OrchidWiz on it. That way we can check on size and temp requirements. A couple of the plants I got I relied on the vendor for info. After checking OW it turns out they aren't compact they're huge. Waaa!
