Project Travelling Companion Advice... - Orchid Board

howdy folks! would love people's thoughts/advice/opinions/cultural experience with any of the following which i'm considering as travel companions for my project plant:

Ornithophora radicans
Sigmatostalix costaricensis (prob. syn guatemalensis)
Pelatantheria insectifera
Psygmorchis pusilla

unfortunately, i'll probably only be getting one of em.

any thoughts'd be much appreciated!

Here is a thread from the show and tell forums about the http://www.orchidboard.com/community...-radicans.html, its a nice little plant and seems easy enough.

Don't have any experience with the other 3.

Make sure you don't miss the April specials Oak Hill Gardens, I didn't see them but my wife did.

I thought of you when I saw it on Oak Hill's site

Mine is mounted, gets very bright light and misted at least every other day. It'll be every day once summer arrives.

Sue...how tall is that Pelatantheria of yours?? I know the flowers are tiny, but I didn't remember your plant looking so tall...

The opening on this mount is only about 5 inches across, it's a small plant but is a rambler so it'll spread as far as you let it go

Here's another I'm strongly considering... Encyclia tripunctata (now Pollardia tripunctata). Anyone have direct experience with this guy?

Yvan, I think you and I have similar growing conditions. I have the Ornithophora radicans and it's doing well for me. Currently growing 2 new pbulbs. The guy I got if from has a specimen sized plant that was covered in blooms about 3 months ago. I grow mine like my Onc. alliance. Doesn't like to completely dry out.
