It does indeed look like a great show. How do people get Lycaste leaves looking that perfect? I guess it helps if you grow inside but I have never seen one with such wonderful foliage.

Great pix Paul.
It was nice to see you there again.

I got several dozen photos also, but most were of the set-up process. The MOS team is awesome at putting on a good show. Many dedicated volunteers were there for several days setting up without a single complaint or gripe. I was VERY impressed.

You didn't include any photo's of the orchids you walked away with. Did you get any??

I ended up with 6 new ones myself, but havn't had the time to get pictures of them and show them off.

Party-pooper!

LOL! As Tim mentioned, that one is fake. Suphratta does incredible work. (There are a few of her pieces in the Lansing Show thread as well.) Her pieces aren't cheap but considering she hand shapes and hand paints everything -- not to mention the accuracy in detail she achieves -- I can't fault her for charging what she does. An artist deserves her due. Items like that one are around $80-100 if I remember correctly. That particular den piece was about 3 ft tall if memory serves. (Basically a life-sized den.) She would probably be happy to do a "commission" work if one had a particular flower one wanted to have rendered, I imagine. I know she doesn't have a catelog per se as she doesn't mass produce "tons" of any particular flower. Rather does a bit of this and that to try and meet a wide range of tastes. Below are a few other examples of her work. I purchased a catt. similar to the one pictured here from her as wedding gift for a cousin of mine whose fiancee loves orchids but has never tried one before. I figured I'd try to 'jumpstart' her obsession with one that needed no care. If anyone is interested, let me know & I'll try to contact her.
