Actually...you mostly got it. The photo is supposed to link back to the main page for that photo...the page that contains the description, tags, comments.

I guess I kind of figured that forum members would already be fairly comfortable using the formatting buttons. It's really only a matter of wrapping a URL tag around an image tag.
