Probably not...it has to actually be on the leaves so the dog will taste it and not want to eat them anymore...i tried this stuff with rabbits and it worked

I wasn't happy when Sully ate Mini Mark, but Sully had a tough childhood so I gave him a break. It's the only plant he's attached, and it may yet survive, too; plus, it's one of two so I have a backup plan.

I think what I'd do is test the bitter apple on a plant or two. Or perhaps you could spray some on a towel by the front of the plant bench and see if that works. Most likely, though, even seeing the BOTTLE after she gets a spray of the stuff in her mouth will keep your baby from wanting to sample the wares again. My dogs only have to see the bottle and they leave the room.

I have a miniature rottweiller x Pincher at home, She loves Vandas and Rhyn. and any fruit she can find, shoes or anything chewable....She even tried getting my big fish in the fishpond in my shade house.....Until the fish bit her on the nose
I fixe the problem by rubbing her nose in the mess she made and giving her a smack.... also by telling her off at the same time she's a good girl sometimes now

Tash, you dog is about the same age mine was when my orchids got eaten. If this is happening while you guys are gone out, I would say she needs crate training. Bitter Apple works great on things, but you have to re-apply it every so often, because the taste does go away.

Basically... it's a matter of waiting for the behaviour to stop. And it will! just as suddenly as it started

Just a thought - There's cat/dog repellent sprays available at Lowe's. I use them to keep our dogs from digging in parts of the yard and it works really well. You could try spraying it around the area...??

Bitter Apple also helped to keep deer away from my lilac bush. I had to spray it often because rain washed it off.
