I have a coffee plant that my Airedale was determined to dig up. I finally sprinkled black perpper in the potting soil. It really worked. I had to apply it twice before he gave up. He has not touched it since. It might work for you. It seems to have had no ill effects on the coffee plant. It is still growing and putting out leaves, blooms once a year. A long time ago, we had a Sheltie that ate Cattleyas. Don't know what the attraction was. There has to be something that will repel your dog. If black pepper didn't work, I was going to use Cayenne pepper.
