Default New Chids from Miami

Well I finally got to go to the Miami International Orchid Show Whenever they were in town I was out of town.

Thanks to Susan I met Roly and had a great time. He clued me into some interesting chids. And since he is taller then me ...picked out a Species Den that has 13 flower spikes on it. Thanks Roly We had a hard time counting them yesterday because of all the blooms. Here is the picture along with the rest of the bunch that came home too. A visit to OFE and I'm ready to go. Just need the temps to co-operate so I can get to work. (my potting bench is outside)

Carmelas brought the Kelly 'Lea' over for me and RF had a nice price on the Kenny Bunga. Plus all these guys will free bloom here. I can't wait.

I took my Wish List with me but only scratched off 1. Redlands should be a better day for shopping & anybody who does not shape up here is out. I'm tired of fooling around with wimps.

PS....Roly scored some really nice chids too while I was there. He'll have to tell you himself.

Nicely done,Lorraine!

Sounds like you had a great time...I love it when our members have get-togethers!

I always bring my list to shows and never cross off more than one or two...but usually come home with a whole bunch of new ones. My husband says that particular use of math does not work

That Math works for me. I invited my husband to go with me and he said he had better things to do. Never said a word when I came home and plopped the new guys on the kitchen counter. He has really given up on me. Guess I'm hopeless!! He does notice when someone new happens to show up unexpectedly. Like a gift from the neighbor who can only grow artificial chids and wins a triple phal from her Ladies Luncheon. I tried to get her to keep it till the blooms fade about 2 months left to go and she said she would kill it before then. Another Noid for me.

Lovely little atroviolaceum Lorraine! That's my one of my favorite plants. It never quits blooming. Make sure it gets plenty of water.

Sounds like you guys had fun! Our local show is in April but I'm sure it's nothing as good as what you guys have in FL.

I can see you really had a great time, Lorainne. Love your selection, especially the atroviolaeceum, one of my favorites. Can't get over all the blooms. Did you get this one from Carmela's also?

You got some great plants, Lorainne! I am glad you got to meet up with Roly and that you guys had fun. I wanted to go so bad, but I had some things going on at home that I had to tend to. Luckily I had gone on Friday!! Well now we need to make plans for Fairchild Tropical Gardens Show and, of course, Redlands!!
