Bill developed some great Orchids over the years I know I'll miss him another of the older orchid growers gone

Owens Orchids announces with sadness
the passing of Bill Owens,
our founder and owner.

Mr. Owens suffered a heart attack
February 13, 2009.
His wife, Joyce, was with him.

I got the news this morning in my email as well...
It is sad and unexpected, I guess that's how death surprises us, no guarantees. -sigh-

I have never met Bill, but have spoken to him, Joyce and Sheila several times on the phone, all have been delightful.
