Then can I run the Pacific division?
I dream often of running my own greenhouse, but I just don't have the resources to start quite yet. It would be more of a hobby job anyhow, not something that pays the bills I'm sure. You have to be pretty big time for that. But, if it could just pay for itself... and my orchid requirements....
Oh... and discovery channel shows rule!

Can I run the Northwest Division?!
You wouldn't mind sharing the Pacific a little, would you Nichole?
I was planning on getting a Ph.D. and working for a university, but who could resist running an orchid business!

I wouldn't mind a bit. It would give me an excuse to visit the beautiful country to the North of me when "division meetings" were planned.

In that case, I'd recommend early fall meetings. Still warm and dry, but the nights are getting cold enough to suppress the bugs. Really the best time IMO to hike in the Northwest. And you'd have to get out and play while you're here wouldn't you?!

Since hiking is out of the question for me, I'll keep the Lodge fire burning and make up a big batch of mulled cider for when you all get back!

I am also extremely lucky. I'm blessed to have an understanding husband who just gave me 2 Paphs for valentines day. We have 3 awesome children(Jessica 7), (Brighid 4), (Jason Jr.4). I'm a stay at home mom. I fund my addiction from a savings I've had tucked away. My husband loves having the living plants around. My kids love helping me in the garden and now love our chids too. My husband also loves to make things so he's offered to make me an Orchidarium
