Absolutely KEY to keeping things under control!

If you know you aren't going to be able to pay that cc bill in full when it comes, DON'T buy what you're thinking you need

Thanks Kiki and Nichole! I do try. I'm studying environmental horticulture. My addiction encompasses the entire plant kingdom, not just orchids....

What a silly thing to say, "just" orchids!

I'm with you Dabblin! My Mom got me into gardening. Her and I don't live close to one another, but we talk forever about what we're growing and how things are coming along We'd be dangerous in a nursery together In all seriousness though, gardening and orchids are GREAT therapy for me. It's gotten me through some tough times for sure.

Royal - That is great! What a rewarding job. I'm sure it's a pretty demanding job too. But that's in line with some of my interests for my future career. How long have you been at it? What degree and/or experience got you to where you are? Yup, curious me!

Oh Dabblin! That's exactly how I am, and I WORK at a nursery! That's like a recovering alcoholic working as a bartender! My parents created a monster they can't control!

It looks more glamorous than it really is. My office is at the wastewater plant. It's really a function of the water department so I'm really just a lowly city employee. I do get to see all the industrial processes that we have in the city. That's the most fun, kind of like "How It's Made" on Discovery channel. I love that stuff! I'm also able to help local industries minimize waste and find alternative beneficial reuse for what waste is produced. So yeah, it is rewarding, just not lucrative.

My degree is in Biology, but luck and timing got me where I am. I'm waiting for luck and timing to land me a job growing orchids for a living.
