all, Just inviting anyone who is interested in discussion on Locating wild orchid and wilderness finds. Not sure how this works yet but I'm sure we will make it up as we go.

I recently got a book on native calif orchids
supposedly there are 13 species in my county!
I have seen at least 1 lol
this should be cool

This is great! I love finding orchids on hikes. I've seen 4 or 5 Washington natives. I can't remember exactly how many there are total, maybe 3 dozen or more. It'll be cool to hear about other people's finds and see pics!

I'm more than interested if the group is not restricted to only American natives! I love the natives and taking pics of them, the french alps and foothills have about 125 different orchid species/subspecies. So far I've seen 15-20 or so.

What about orchid hunting for introduced species? I know that most arent native to where I live, but there sure are a lot of them growing wild!!
