Default My unexpected co-owners!

They are popularly known as Tico-tico (Zonotrichia capensis) and are very common in our area. They came and installed their nest in the comfortable pot of Aerides lawrenceana! The one that appears in the photo is already son of my greenhouse and is very familiar to and with me. He (or she) has a brother (or sister) and both are always near. Where I go, they are around. If I am in the greenhouse, most of time they are on the ground around, if I get off the grh, they come after me! I guess that they see me since they were still in the nest so they don't fear me. He and his brother are sweet enough to get in the house and play on the sofas in the living room when the door is open!! And now, the second generation is coming!

Wow Mauro, even the birds love your orchids!! I think it bodes well for a person's character when wild animals will become accustomed to a person's presence! Or maybe they just love all your Catts! lol

Nice, like your own nature preserve.

So that's a Tico-tico! I know this bird!!! My sister brought me a "Birds of Brazil" clock that she got during her visit there. Although I've never seen one (until now), I hear it every day!

How neat Mauro! I think they must have bonded with you as babies. I know goslings do that.
