Wow, CONGRATS! Truly amazing considering the amount of time involved.

Thanks everyone, the toughest part was the steep learning curve. I went from a novice grower at a local club of only 6 months to a trainee judge and really I wasn't quite ready for it. The last 5 and a half years has been amazing and I feel better for all the driving and late nights it involved. I've been growing now for 7 years but I think I should have had more knowledge when I started.
I appreciate your kind wishes!

Darren,
CONGRATULATIONS! I'm very happy for you!
I am just starting my journey down that road, and can only imagine how good it must feel to have finally completed the student leg of your journey.

They don't specialise here at least, we judge everything. It varies from night to night but we are trained in all classes.
The Australian Orchid Conference is happening next year and I plan to nominate for Cattleya's and Masdevallia's if I can. I prefer those and feel more comfortable judging them.
