LOL kiki...all I knew was that SOMEBODY I know was getting this orchidarium! I'm really thrilled that it was my good friend Dana

Now, I can concentrate on what I'm going to do with the fish tank!

Does anybody know if live bamboo stalks have to be cured before I could use them in an orchid tank? If so, what needs to be done?

That's the plan anyway...I hope it works 'cause there's a TON of moss in there...

I made sure to keep it loose so it doesn't stay too moist...seems to be working, maybe a little too well ...the humidity has been in the 80's with the doors closed so I've ben keeping one of them slightly ajar so it stays in the 70's.

I'm not sure what would happen if the plants start "playing footsie"...

When we were at the show, I wasn't sure Scott was going to really let me get it... ....'course this whole thing was his idea anyway....I keep telling him that the more orchids I have the more subject he has to photograph!! He didn't think that was a good argument...

I like the term "orchid village"...very cool! I want to buy more orchids but I got in trouble the other day with my wonderful understanding husband so I voluntarily put myself on restriction...

Here it is, the morning after a monumental, presidential election and what did I dream about last night? I dreamt that I walked into the living room and sitting on the floor, was a big fish tank. For real! Just thought I'd share this...

Those moss columns are so so cool! But in the big column, what are you going to do if in the future the roots dig deep into it? With so much moss I'd think that slow drying in the center might cause rot problems. But I have no experience with these things, it's just a thought that came to me when you guys are talking about orchids playing footsie!

I hope you'll be able to unrestrict yourself soon to buy more plants!

You must have been so disappointed when you finally woke up! Any orchids in your fishtank dream? I admit that I did dream about the elections last night, but that's probably because I stayed up to watch CNN until 3am French time...
