Whee! Mine were waiting for me when I got home. The Angel Tears, Angel Tang and Ken Dole are in bloom, the Copper Angel is not. They look like very healthy plants. I just hope I can keep them that way.

Ross the Angel Tears and Copper Angel are both temp tolerant. I emailed Ivan and asked specifically about the Copper Angel and he said yes. He recommended the Angel Tears vs the Redwing 'Rolfe' cross I had been eyeing.

I'll take tomorrow.

Awesome plants, they must really know how to grow 'em.

Congratulations on the pickups.

Yah, Ross!! Finally some Masdies!! I know you will love them - and I hope they do really well for you. They are really great little plants, with flowers like jewels floating in the air.

Make sure, where ever you put them, that they get really good air circulation. Mine seem to sulk if there isn't a good enough breeze.

Please keep us posted on how they settle in. In my experience, most of the hybrids are tough little cookies that can thrive in many conditions (as I've moved them around the house).

Hi Ross, wow nice selection!
I myself was dabbling with the idea of ordering these from them:
M. Angel Tears
M. Angel Tang seedlings
M Redwing 'Rolfe', HCC/AOS x M. princeps 'Makawae'
And
M. Inca Snow

What do you think?

The first two were on Ivan's recommend list. I selected the Angel Tang (which came in bloom) because of its coloring. I have no knowledge on the other two. By the way, even though the website says 2" pot seedlings, they were very large and 3 of the 4 were in full bloom. Can't go wrong with Ivan's stuff. He ships Fed Ex 2 day and packs them extremely well.

Must be role-reversal time for us, Ross, as I bought two Draculas earlier this week. Well, one Dracula cordobae
and a Dracula/Masdie hybrid, Dracuvallia Memoria Maria Arcila. See here: Missouri Botanical Garden Press

Hey Tin, Ivan didn't readily recommend the Redwing 'Rolfe' cross. He said it's doing well, though not growing as vigorously as say the Veichiana x princeps. He has not see the flowers from the Redwing cross yet, so it could be a grand surpise. Both parents are beautiful. The Inca Snow looks just like the Ken Dole only is more tubular because of the mendozae. The Angel Tang you can get in pure yellow or yellow with lavendar/red hairs. I opted for the latter and it's quite pretty. Be sure and calculate the shipping and handling. S-$15, H-$10 plus .5% sales tax. They are beautiful plants to be sure. I haven't received anything this nice looking from any vendor in a long time. If you're unsure about some of them call Ivan. He's great to talk to on the phone, and very helpful. (808) 572-0756. I'll be looking him up on my next trip to Maui.
