Orchid Show New Additions
Just got back from the British Orchid Growers Association 'Orchid Fayre' - and these little things jumped into bags and right into my hands before I could leave...
1) Some Masdie hybrids: (Davina x Avalon Pellegrini), (Pink Mist x Snow White), Midnight Plum, and Lyne Timoney.

2) Some other more interesting miniatures: Pleurothallis amparoana, Condylago rodrigoi, Telipogon intis.

which I promptly repotted into Erin pots!
Condylago rodrigoi:

Pleurothallis amparoana:

Telipogon intis:

(A Telipogon has been on my wish list of almost 2 years now!!)
3) An either love it or hate it Paph. I love it becaause I really love weird flowers!! Paph. (concolor 'Tupfel' x Jac Flash 'F.G.')

I also went a bit over-board and got a Mexipedium xerophyticum!! Just green leaves at the moment... but fingers crossed, I sure hope I am able to bloom this baby!!

Excellent haul. Some really interesting ones there. Guess I am in the "hate it" circle on the Paph, but weird it is.

Thanks, Ross - and Paul! I'm not surprised about the Paph... it sure is odd. The next flower to open looks like it will have a better form however, but the coloring is just so different, its not going to be for everyone.
The Telipogon and the Pleurothallis are in spike, and as you can see, two of the Masdies have flowers...

The one on the left looks like a Drac to me.

Ross, that one is Masd. (Pink Mist x Snow White) - so a hybrid of two hybrids.
Pink Mist = strobelii x coccinea
Snow White = tovarensis x Angel Frost
(with Angel Frost = veitchiana x strobelii)
So a right good mix of species! I think it has a really, really good form for a Masdie.

I totally agree. I love the display. Nice blossom (for a Drac imposter )

Jim, If you - or anyone else - has any advice on the Mexipedium, I sure would appreciate it. It wasn't a cheap plant, so I really hope I don't kill it!!
Thanks for looking!
