X-Rated Plants
This information came from the Potpourri of Orchid Facts section in a book called "Growing Orchids Is Fun", written by Albert P. Hollingsworth.
Greeks first gave the name orchis (literally "testicle") to some orchids because the twin tubers resembled human testicles.
and another...Physicians then believed that plants which resembled human organs could be used for drugs for treating the organs. The reputation of orchids was very popular as aphrodisiacs, and particularly for regulating fertility.
I've also seen references (can't remember where) mentioning the fact that Orchids flowers resemble female genitalia.

LOL In fact they, from the old world thought it prudent not to let the women see some of the orchids and it was only a man's hobby for a long time. Funny this is one of the first things I learned about orchids. I personally have always thought that an orchid looks more femenin then maculine, but then again I was looking at the flower not the ballbs.
Someone once said keep your mind focused on what you want and off what you don't want. heheheheh

That depends on what you want .. Swamper
There are some slippers that look much more feminine to be than masculine .. but ..
it's all in the eye of the be-holder .. (possibly in the case of this thread .. 'bulb' holder)
