AOS Open House - free entrance for florida residents

The AOS Garden in Delray Beach is having open house where entrance is free for the month of August.

It's too bad that they separated the regions by week, it would have been nice to be able to have a meetup.

I went today and got in for free because I am a member of AOS, but they let my daughter in free too. I guess they were being nice because it was late in the day. This week is free to Palm Beach residents (we are from Broward) so it should have been $10 for my daughter. The lady at the desk kept asking us "Are you a resident of Palm Beach?" and I thought why does she keep asking me that? Then I realized she wanted to let my daughter in for free, so she wanted me to say "Yes!" I finally caught on...

Anyway it was great! I took lots of pics which I will post later under "Visit to AOS". It is free to Broward residents next week and Dade the 3rd week of Aug. I got a half price plant (finished blooming) and a couple of books in the gift shop. It was a very nice day!

I'd love to go but it's a long drive from my location.

When I went last year, I got in for free without them asking anything at all and I didn't have to show my card either. I wonder if it's because I was there having plants judged?
