Now blooming in Arizona greenhouse - part 1
Here’s some of what I have in bloom right now. Winter into spring is my season for the Catt’s, Phal’s and the bigger, more colorful stuff. Right now it’s more of my mini’s and various “oddball” things.
As far as the mini’s: the Haraella retrocala blooms every few months, the Dryadella zabrina a couple of times a year, the Pleurothallis grobyi has just started blooming, 3 times so far, seems like every month or two, The Pleurothallis tribuloides blooms once a year (lasts for a couple of months though), and The Dendrobium toressae has been in continuous bloom for about 4-5 years. I have included close-ups of these last two that show the blooms better.
Trichopliias are some of my favorites, and I have several varieties, but this hybrid and the tortilis are what’s blooming right now.
So much for the “odds and ends”. I really like many of these small, odd-flowered plants as much as the big Catt’s and more spectacular (and traditional) bloomers.
CONTINUED in part 2 (couldn't load all photos in one post - ???)
