Some people the next town over found an alligator in their swimming pool when they opened it for the season last week. It was an escapee from a local "petting"zoo and the owners neglected to notify authorities that it was missing. Mind you, I'm in upstate NY! Every once in a while, we hear about alligators in the sewers in NYC. In my area, the deer are bigger pests than the snakes or alligators!
