Bitter Sweet day in the Strand!!!!

As always I have a great day when I get to go to the Fakahatchee Strand. But today I had a unfortunate find. I came across this tree which had what I think was a Campylocentrum pachyrrhizum that someone use a Machete and removed the plant and bark. The sap was still slightly wet. But after uploading the picture and I'm sorry to say it was a Dendrophylax lindenii the Ghost orchid. SAD
