I know I probably shouldn't bring up this competitor's name, but does anyone know if they are finished? I cannot connect to them at all.

The corporate owners of the site have been made aware that it’s down, and are being very slow to fix the issues. I don’t know how they get revenue from it, so may not have much incentive to do so.

I guess this is a “wait and see” situation.

Alas, I think it is gone. I just checked, the Cloudflare error is gone, replaced by a "domain expired" screen from the domain registrar. Very likely the domain will be bought for cheap by the spammers. Looks like the domain owner just ditched it.

According to Whois, the domain name registration expired on May 6th. Either the owner ditched it like you say, or they never got around to renewing it. In any case the domain name is not up for sale yet.


I didn't know that forum, but still sad to see yet another orchid forum disappear if this was intentional.
