Shannen, your plants and pots are stunning! WOW!!!
We had a Den unicum in our show and tell group at the last meeting and it was very large, as were the blooms. We questioned it and it seems that the results come from various growing conditions. You definitely have unicum there...and it's glorious!

Thanks, Sue! I'm glad to know that there are other tall unicums out there! I'm really impressed with the 'flower power' of this one - at least 25 flowers total on two canes. I will be completely bowled over if it does a similar thing with 4 canes next year!

OMG! Shannan!
Your pots and little cuthberts look awesome all together! I LOVE them all!
You know your little seedlings, not long out of flask are BIGGER than mine that I just got from Andy's. . .and they're in bloom, so bloom sized! You're doing just a great job growing them, I think! That, or you've got some kind of mutant water that is making all your plants bigger and BIGGER and BIGGER!
Thinking now about the suspicious size of your unicum. ROFLOLOLOL
Opps, sorry no pics of the Shutenno red spike. I'll go do that quick and put it in my gallery!
P.S. I am gonna have to tell Vic to make me a flying saucer pot! ROFLOLOL
P.S.2 I had to order a Leptotes bicolor because of you! I got it the other day and it's mounted. How is yours doing potted?

Gwen, I had two mature cuthberts before I got the flasks. (Well, one cuthbert, and one that came as agathodaemonis, which is a syn. for the red form of cutherbertsonii). Some of the flasklings were bigger - inside the flask - than my original cuthbert. Not as many canes, but definitely taller plants with bigger leaves. Weird, eh?
But, that said, I think you might be deceived by the size of the pots. The ones I have the cuthberts in are smaller than yours - they are the really tiny ones, all less than 2". Here is one - with the flaskling named Guinevere, Gwen for short! - in the palm of my hand. This is the one that is in the front right in the group photo, and is in the middle pic of the collage.

Here are some more photos of Den. unicum, now that a couple more flowers have opened. I don't know how long individual flowers last, so I don't know how many I will be able to have open all at once. But it is such a great little plant!

And great news... my #2 Sedirea flowers have started to open - this warmer weather seems to have spurred them on. So I'll go and get some pics of that while I'm soaking the Paphs this morning. More later....

OMG!!! A cuthbert with very own my name!!!! I LOVE it! And that's a gorgeous pot too, hepsistah.
I love it that you've given them all their own names and identities. Love the theme. lolol
Your unicum is magnificent! My blooms lasted quite a while. . .my last one dropped off last night. I transplanted mine and am starting to taper off the watering and fertilizer but keeping the light medium high. I've got one big nice new growth. And by big nice, I actually mean it's about three inches tall. lolol
My sedirea bloomed recently and boy do those blossoms smell wonderful, sort of rosy. I can't tell any difference between the blooms on the mini, Daruma Minmaru and the regular sized variety. Let me know what you find.

Gwen, I forgot to answer your question about the Leptotes - sorry! Mine came potted and seemed to like it, so I stuck with it - new roots and one new growth so far, as well as the bloom.
Here are the just opening flowers of #2 Sedirea:

The other big story here at the moment is...
roots, roots, & more roots!!

Shannen - WOW...I love LOVE your pots..did you make them? If so, I'll take 50 of them!!! If not, please share with us where you got them (and I still want 50 of them)! If you already answered this question, please forgive me for asking again only two brain cells and all....
OK - here's my modest list...
Aer. grandiose - two spikes one with two buds
Barbosella handroi - in bud (only one so far but hoping for more )
Epi floridundum x cordigerum - had 8 buds but seems a squirrel thought he'd have one for lunch!
Haraella odorata - one tiny little bud, but I'll take it!
Phal. Kaleidoscope 'Golden Treasure' - this beauty has been in flower for almost 2 months now with 30 blooms!
Blc. Chia Lin 'New City' - I can't WAIT to see these...I'm hoping for double blooms in these two sheathes
Epi. Parkinsonianum - this one is really cool! A friend of mine brought it back from Hawaii for me! Three spikes
Lths. manabina - one bud right now but there are 5 more behind it - I just love this little guy!
Everyone's lists look great!

Wow you have a very eclectic group of plants! Very cool!
I have Blc. Chia Lin 'New City' also. It's just maturing a new growth so I hope that there is a sheath in there somewhere. I repotted it a couple of weeks ago so I hope that didn't scare it.

The pots came mostly from Erin Pottery. They are very small ( 1" or 2") bonsai accent pots. I have a couple of pots that I made, however, they are larger (3" or 4" size) and I haven't decided which ones I'm going to put in them yet. I will repeat what Gwen has already said about the Erin pots - you will not be disappointed. They looks great in photos, but they are even better in person!
You're got such a nice range of things in bloom!! Well done! And what a great collection you've put together, Terri is right.
Ramón, I have a Phal that was named Pink Panther too... but I couldn't find that as a registered name. Do you know more about it? This is what mine looks like:
Is that similar to your's?
