I just signed up for a paypal account to make OB classified transactions a little easier. What do I do now? Do I need to add my bank account or is my credit card # enough? This is all new to me so I was hoping that a paypal veteran could give me a little guidance. Thanks in advance, - Royal
PayPal is pretty convenient and I use it all the time myself. You want to connect your bank account so you can withdraw your paypal balance and deposit it to your bank. You can also deposit money into your paypal from the bank account (I think, I've never done it). You also want to connect your credit card as a backup funding, although having a CC may be a requirement by PayPal.
From within paypal you can request money and people can send you money via paypal to your registered account. Check with paypal.com though on different account types. I know with personal account there's a lot of restrictions, with premier or business you can do much more, but of course then PayPal takes a chunk on every deposit that comes into your account
giving ones bank account allows you to buy from some vendors who donot want to pay the additional fee for PayPal to send the charge on to the credit card company. This is most likely to occur on e-Bay. Be careful though, if you want them to use the credit card first, they will try to draw on your bank account as the primary payment source. Once set up hard to change.

I was considering setting up a separate bank (checking) account for PayPal as I use a credit card for it .... this way they aren't drawing off my personal account and I can keep a close eye on the monies going out for eBay purchases.
Just a random thought
