Yeah! I think it was that recent post about that one that prompted me to ask the question.

My favorite is still Trick or Treat. It was one of my very first orchids, have divided it several times to give away a piece over the years. Blooms remarkably and consistently around three times a year, and the blooms last a loooong time.

Is that a seedling, or a clone with a clonal name?

I don't understand the question.

The tag on mine says Lc. Trick or Treat 'Orange Magic' AM/AOS (I just looked). How would I know whether it's a seedling or a clone from the tag?

Trick or Treat is the name of all the seedlings with the same parentage. Most have no clonal name. When one wins an award it usually gets a clonal name ('Orange Magic' AM/AOS.) Those may be mericloned and distributed, which is the case with your plant. I was wondering whether you had a plant grown from seed or a named mericlone. You didn't mention the clonal name in the first message unless I overlooked it.

It’s beautiful, and it does look clone-worthy, if it hasn’t already been. Thanks for sharing! 😁

Edit: I see where you mentioned the clonal name now. I saw your pix earlier and didn’t have time to respond until now.

No problemo... I just didn't understand. I don't care about that schtuff, so I didn't know it would matter. You didn't miss anything... I just buys stuff, or get gifted schtuff like this one, that I like. Leave that up to ya'll to take care of the nitty gritty.

Davey... it's an orchid worth having, with the benefit of a Halloweeny vibe.

How about this cute little Lepanthes. This one is a cross of two awesomely named species Lepanthes gargoyla x horrida, whoever named those two must have had a sense of humor. It looks like a straight gargoyla to my eyes, which I’m not mad about at all, and I love the fuzzy leaves. I don’t know if the cross is registered yet, but it better have an equally spooktacular name when it does.
